Group Work | The Impact of Social Media on Adolescents' Self-Identity - Our Group Project for the Developmental Psychology Class at Fulbright
The past three weeks have been a fascinating journey as we delved into the developmental psychology of adolescents and explored how social media impact their self-identity. Our group not only delved into theories but also developed a product for this age group. We designed a board game that creates a space for players to reflect on and share their viewpoints on appearance and the role of social media in their lives.
Here is an overview of our research process:
(1) Study the development of adolescents' bodies, brains, and identities
(2) Investigate the design of social media and its impact on adolescents' self-identity
(3) Conduct interviews with three Vietnamese adolescents to develop user profiles
(4) Perform market research on available programs and products
(5) Apply psychological theories to the product design
(6) Design and develop a board game prototype
